The Officer's Office - History House

Here is a 360 view of a typical office in an Officer's House on Officers Row in Fort Hancock. The door from the dining room was the dividing line between home and the office. The door at the back led to the parade ground. These Officers' Houses were unusual in that the front of each house faced the water rather than the parade ground which was the usual configuration. The house is currently furnished in a typical 1950s fashion. The Fort was decommissioned in 1974 and is now part of the Gateway National Recreation Area and the New York Harbor National Park. Here are some Gigapan views of Officers Row and Fort Hancock and a full 360VR of the Officer's Row at sunset.
